Synesthesia

通感

Synesthesia signifies the experience of two or more kinds of sensation when only one sense is being stimulated. In literature the term is applied to descriptions of one kind of sensation in terms of another; color is attributed to sounds, odor to colors, sound to odors, and so on.

通感指在某一感官受到刺激时产生的两种或两种以上的感觉经验。在文学上，这一术语表示用一种感觉来描述另一种感觉，如用色彩描绘声音、用气味描绘色彩、用声音描绘气味等。
