Letter Regarding Outstanding Holiday Entitlement

In the past it has been a policy of the company that all staff must take their holiday entitlement within one calendar year. Any holiday entitlement not taken before 31 December each year has been forfeited.

 

It has now been decided to amend this rule so that we can allow our staff more flexibility.

 

With immediate effect, anyone who has up to five days’ holiday entitlement outstanding at 31 December may carry this over until 31 March the following year. Any days that have not been used by 31 March will be forfeited. Unused holiday entitlement may not be converted to pay in lieu.

 

Your manager/supervisor is still required to approve your staff leave. This will take into account the business and operational needs of the department and especially clashes with other staff.
