Deal with Complaining

 

A: Is anything the matter, sir?

 

A有什么不对的吗,先生?

 

 

B: Yes, it is my steak.

 

B是的,是我的牛排。

 

 

A: What’s wrong with it, sir?

 

A您的牛排怎么了,先生?

 

 

B: It is too raw. I wanted mine well done. But this one here is almost medium.

 

B太生了。我要的是全熟的。但我盘子里的这块差不多是半熟的。

 

 

A: I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it, sir. I’ll return it to the kitchen and bring you one that’s well cooked. (He leaves and brings back another steak.) How is your steak this time, sir?

 

A很抱歉您觉得不好吃,先生。我可以把这盘送回厨房,再给您拿一盘做得熟透的来。(他离开,带回来另一块牛排。)这回怎么样,先生?

 

 

B: Very good. It is done just right this time. Thank you.

 

B很好。这回做得正好合我的口味。谢谢你。

 

 

A: I’m glad you enjoy it. I’ll tell this to the chef. Would you like some more beer?

 

A您爱吃我很高兴。我会转告厨师的。您再来点啤酒吗?

 

 

B: Yes, please give me another Carlsberg. (After Green finishes his steak. . .)

 

B好,再给我来一瓶嘉士伯。(格林吃完牛排后……)

 

 

A: Shall I bring you some dessert?

 

A我要不要给您上点甜食?

 

 

B: No, thank you. I’ve had enough.

 

B不用了,谢谢。我吃得很饱了。

 

 

A: How about some coffee or tea then?

 

A那么喝点咖啡或者茶怎么样?

 

 

B: Yes, I’ll have a cup of coffee.

 

B好,给我来杯咖啡。
