agree

 

【1】 同意；赞成；达成协议

 

单独使用，不使用特定介词。

【例】 That’s a good arrangement, do you agree?

那样安排很好，你同意吗？

 

【2】 同意；赞成

现在有一种倾向，在agree后往往不用介词on、to、with等，将agree作及物动词使用。

①     【例】 We agree your draft contract.

我们同意你方的合同草稿。

 

②     可接用动词不定式。

【例】 They agree to sign the contract on Sunday.

他们同意星期日签订此合同。

 

③     可接用that从句，从句中可用should或虚拟语气现在时，也可用陈述语气。

【例】 We both parties have agreed that the L/C (should)be established through a third country bank.

我们双方都同意，信用证应通过第三国银行开立。

 

④     过去分词可用作定语。

【例】 We insist on it that our ordered goods should be shipped within the agreed time limit.

我们坚持我方所订货物在已约定的期限内装船。

 

【3】 agree on [upon]（双方对某点）同意；商定

 

①     【例】 They finally agreed upon the terms of the contract.

他们双方最后对合同条件达成协议。

 

 = 2 \* GB3 ② 过去分词agreed on可作表语,agreed-on可作前置定语。

【例】 L/C payment terms were agreed.

信用证的支付方式是双方商定的。

 

 = 3 \* GB3 ③ agree (up)on用作后置定语时不加连字符。

【例】 If your credit fails to reach us before April 20, 2002, we shall be unable to deliver the goods at the price originally agreed upon.

如果你方信用证不能在2002年4月20日前抵达我方，我们不能按原先同意的价格交货。

 

【4】 agree to同意

 

① 【例】 Buyers agree to friendly settlement of the dispute.

买方同意友好解决这一争端。

 

② agree to可用于被动语态，而agree with不可。

【例】 The contract provisions have now been agreed to.

合同条款现已获得同意。

 

【5】 agree with同意（某人的意见等）

“人”作主语

 

① 【例】 They agreed with this idea.

他们同意这一想法。

 

② 下列句中agree with you，实际上是“同意你（们）的意见”。

【例】 We agree with you on this point.

在这一点上，我们同意你们的意见。

 

【6】 agree with适合；符合；一致

 “物”作主语。

【例】 If your shirts agree with the taste of our market, we feel confident of placing a big order with you.

如果你方衬衫适合我地市场上的爱好，我们肯定会提出大量订货的。
