【1】发现，感到

 

①【例】We feel sure you will find a ready market for this excellent material.

我们相信，这种优质商品在你地很畅销。

 

②接用宾语，再加各式宾语的补语。

【例】Enclosed please find a cheque amounting to £300.

随函寄上支票一份，金额300英镑，请查收。

 

③上面②中的句式有时用于被动式，宾语改成主语，宾语的补语（下面例子中补语是不定式）成为主语的补语。

【例】The orders have been found to have come from several old customers of ours.

这些订单是从我们几个老客户那里送来的。

 

④句式：find it + adj +不定式[从句]（适用这一句式的动词还有feel，consider，think，deem等）。

【例】We find it impossible to ask our endusers to accept the delayed delivery.

我们觉得不可能要求我方用户接受延期交付的货物。

 

⑤接用宾语从句，句式：find + that从句。

【例】We think you’ll find that advertising and promotion are important parts of export marketing.我们想你们会发现，广告和促销是出口销售的重要组成部分。

 

【2】find favour受欢迎

 

【例】These products have found favour in the African market.

这些产品在非洲市场上颇受欢迎。

 

【3】find oneself发现自己是

 

【例】We have found ourselves compelled to cancel prices ruling hitherto and to issue a fresh price list for all our goods.

我方不得不把以前各货的价格作废并另发新的价目表。

 

【4】find out发现，了解（情况）

 

①接用if引出的从句。

【例】Please find out if the goods were properly checked before despatch.

请了解货物在发运之前是否经过适当的检查。

 

②接用wh-从句（即who，which等疑问词引出的从句）。

 

【例】How can I find out what countries need or want my product?

怎样才能了解到哪些国家需要我公司的产品呢?

常用复数形式。

【例】Only after checking our records with your findings did we realize the errors.

只是在将你方检查情况同我方记录核对以后，我方才了解其中的错误。

 

fine   

【1】罚金

 

【例】According to our contract with our clients we have to deliver the material by semimonthly installments of 100MT, failing which we are under penalty of a heavy fine.

根据我们同客户所签的合同，我们必须每半月交货100公吨，否则我们要罚交巨额违约金。

 

【2】好的

 

【例】The camera of German make is commanding a fine reputation here.

德国产的照相机在此地博得好评。

 

【3】（价格）低的

 

【例】Please quote your finest [best, lowest] price CIF Shanghai.

请报来最低的CIF上海价。
