It is my honor to participate in the China (Liaoning)-Croatia Business Forum. At the outset, please allow me to extend on behalf of the Chinese Embassy to Croatia my sincere congratulations to this event and warmest greetings and welcome to all the participants to this forum and to Liaoning delegation led by Hon deputy governor Chen! I also wish to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to Croatia government and the Croatia Chamber of Economy for your hospitality and warm reception extended to Liaoning delegation.
非常高兴参加中国（辽宁）-克罗地亚经贸座谈会。首先，请允许我代表中国驻克罗地亚大使馆对座谈会的召开表示诚挚的祝贺！对各位参会代表和陈副省长率领辽宁代表团访克表示热烈欢迎！借此机会，我对克罗地亚政府和经济商会对辽宁省代表团的热情接待表示衷心感谢！
Liaoning Province, situated in Northeast China, is a very important province with strong industrial base and rich historic and cultural heritage. As you all know that we just celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people’s Republic of China, the New China. We are so proud of the great achievements accomplished by the New China. Liaoning Province is regarded the “Eldest Son of the People’s Republic”, which means it made significant contribution to the construction of the New China and is highly respected, enjoying a distinguished status in the hearts of the Chinese People. Now, Liaoning Province, grasping the opportunities of China’s another round of reform and opening up, actively participates in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and China-CEEC (17+1) cooperation and push forward to its high quality development and structural reform.
辽宁省地处中国东北部，拥有雄厚的工业基础和丰富的历史和文化遗产，是中国一个重要省份。我们刚刚隆重庆祝了中华人民共和国成立70周年，我们为新中国70年来取得的发展成就感到骄傲自豪。辽宁被誉为“人民共和国的长子”，为新中国的建设作出了巨大贡献，因此备受尊敬并在中国人民心目中享有特殊地位。如今，辽宁省紧紧抓住中国新一轮改革开放的机遇，积极参与“一带一路”建设和中国-中东欧国家（17+1）合作，致力于推动经济结构性改革和高质量发展。
I am very pleased that Liaoning delegation comes to Croatia at a time when we are faced with huge opportunities for furthering our pragmatic co-operations in all areas. China and Croatia bilateral relationship has been enjoying a strong momentum of development and has entered a diamond period. Our traditional friendship and political ties have been greatly strengthened based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit. Besides the frequent high level state leaders’ visits, there are more and more people-to-people exchanges of different levels including local governments growing communications.
辽宁省这次派团来到克罗地亚寻求务实合作，可谓正逢其时。当前，中克关系发展势头强劲，高层交往密切频繁，各层次人文交流丰富多彩，地方省市交往合作亮点纷呈，两国关系进入“钻石”般牢固时期，双方合作面临巨大机遇。
Fruitful results have been made in bilateral trade and investment over the past years. The trade reached close to one billion EURO last year, an annual increase of 16.2%. The export from Croatia to China was increased by 25.0%. Meanwhile, Chinese investment in Croatia has been growing rapidly. Over the past two years, Chinese companies have invested, by setting up factories and joint ventures in areas of producing automobiles, high pressure power plugs and assembling aircraft parts etc. Now More and more Chinese companies are coming to Croatia to seek opportunities for cooperation, encouraged by the above-mentioned projects, particularly by the Pelješac Bridge project with China Road and Bridge Corporation and the Senj wind farm project by Norinco international, which is now under construction with a total investment of about 200 million US dollars and the largest wind power project in Croatia. We are also happy to see some Croatian companies made investment in China, manufacturing measurement transformer, and power train for new energy vehicles, etc.
在经贸方面，近年来中克取得了一系列成果：一是双边贸易增长显著。2018年，中克进出口贸易总额接近10亿欧元，较上年增长约16.2%；其中克罗地亚对华出口增长了25%，高于中克贸易总额增长率和克从中国进口增长率。二是双向投资步伐加快。过去两年来，中国企业来克投资显著增长，在克设立的工厂或合资企业增多，投资领域涵盖汽车、电气开关和飞机部件及组装等。此外，中企承建的佩列沙茨大桥项目进展顺利，中企投资的克最大风电项目——塞尼风电项目已进入土建施工阶段。我们很高兴地看到，越来越多的中国企业来克寻求合作机会，同时，克罗地亚企业也到中国开办合资企业，生产电流、电压互感器和新能源汽车电机等产品。
We welcome and look forward to more cooperation in the future. As far as I know, there will be great potentials for cooperation not only in agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing, digital economy, health care, energy, logistics and finance, but also in tourism. Liaoniong is also a province with many tourist attractions. I am confident more and more tourists from Liaoning would like to come to beautiful Croatia and our Croatia friends are most welcome to visit China. It is my sincere hope our friends from Liaoning and Croatia will seize the golden opportunities to bring more and more benefits to both sides.
未来，我们欢迎并期待中克之间有更多合作。据我所知，中克不仅在农业、基础设施、制造业、数字经济、医疗健康、清洁能源、物流、金融等领域有着巨大的合作潜力，在旅游领域也有着广阔的合作前景。辽宁也是拥有丰富旅游资源的大省。我相信，越来越多的辽宁人将会来美丽的克罗地亚旅游，同时也欢迎克罗地亚朋友到访辽宁。真诚希望辽宁省和克罗地亚海山省这对友好省份能抓住当前两国关系的黄金机遇，彼此加强合作，谋求互利共赢。
I believe our friends from Liaoning will share more information later. I am fully confident that through the joint efforts by both sides, the cooperation between Croatia and Liaoning will have bright future. My Embassy will work together with you to promote this important ties.
接下来，辽宁省代表团还将分享该省更多的信息。我完全相信，在辽宁省和克罗地亚方面的共同努力下，双方未来合作前景光明。我驻克使馆将予以积极支持。
