今天《习近平讲故事》克文版新书发布会在萨格勒布展览中心隆重举行，能有机会出席这次活动，我感到非常荣幸和高兴。在这个具有历史意义的时刻，我谨代表中国驻克罗地亚大使馆向各位来宾表示热烈欢迎，感谢克罗地亚文化部对本书翻译和出版的大力支持，也感谢为本书翻译、出版做出重要贡献的中克两国有关机构和克罗地亚朋友们。借此机会要特别祝贺克罗地亚大学出版社和中国人民出版社在本书翻译和出版上的成功合作！
It is my honor and pleasure to be part of this great event, the launching ceremony of Croatian version of Xi Jinping Tells Stories at Zagreb Convention & Exhibition Center. At this special occasion, I would like to extend, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Croatia, my warmest welcome to all the friends present here today and my sincere appreciation to Croatia Ministry of Culture for your support, as well as to University of Croatia Press and other Croatia friends for their efforts and contribution to translating and publishing this great book. My special thank also goes to China Peoples Publishing House, University of Croatia Press, Zagreb Convention & Exhibition Center and other Croatian friends for their hard work to make today’s great event possible. I also want to congratulate University of Croatia Press, and China people’s Publishing House for the success for your cooperation.
《习近平讲故事》从习近平主席数百篇讲话和文章中精选出109个故事，分为对内篇、对外篇。内容涵盖廉政、品格、励志、治理以及人民友好、改革发展、国家交往、文化融通、历史情感等丰富内容，把深刻的思想、抽象的理论，转化为鲜活的故事、生动的例子,充分体现了习近平主席对内政外交国防、治党治国治军的深刻思考及其治国理政新理念新思想新战略。本书每则故事都配以“延伸阅读”，丰富故事细节，还原故事语境，让读者对这些故事有更全面、更立体、更深刻的理解，更好地体悟故事背后的改革开放之道、大国外交之道、和平发展之道、修身为人之道和中国博大精深的历史文化。
This book Xi Jinping Tells Stories captures and elaborates on the skill of storytelling as one of the distinct and outstanding leadership features of Mr. Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and the President of the People’s Republic of China. It gathers the stories included in Xi’s speeches on various occasions, where they conveyed the essence of China’s history and culture, its reform and development, and the principles of China’s participating in global governance and cooperating with other countries to build a community with shared future for mankind. The respective stories not only convey abstract and profound concepts of governance in comparatively straightforward language, but also create an immediate emotional connection between the narrator and the listener. The book includes 109 stories, divided into internal and external volumes. The internal volume covers clean governance, character and morals, self-improvement and governance, etc. The external volume focuses on people’s friendship, national association, cultural integration and communication, historical emotion and so on. On top of referring to original text, each story is equipped with “extended reading” to enrich the story details, restore the story context, and allow readers to better understand the reform and development idea, the principles of major country diplomacy and self-cultivation behind the stories. President Xi Jinping has put China’s development path into the stories, which is simple but profound, enlightening, and spreading the broad and deep “Chinese wisdom”.
《习近平讲故事》一书2017年开印以来已翻译成多种文字，在世界各国持续热销。我馆今年9月底举办国庆招待会期间展示了当时刚完成克文翻译的200本《习近平讲故事》，赢得来宾们的争相传阅和高度赞赏。大家纷纷表示，习近平主席将中国发展之道贯通于故事之中，深入浅出，予人启迪，使人从中感受到博大的“中国智慧”。书中的故事加深了读者对习近平主席提出的“一带一路”倡议共商共建共享以及共建人类命运共同体思想的理解。
This book Xi Jinping Tells Stories has been translated into many languages since it was first published in 2017 and become very popular in the world. Just after the completion of the translation of the Croatia version this September, 200 copies of the books were wanted at my reception in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in Zagreb. Many guests expressed their high compliment to this book and said that it helped them understand better the one Belt and one Road initiative based on mutual consultation, mutual contribution and shared development and building a community with shared future for mankind put forward by President Xi Jinping through the book.

《习近平讲故事》克文版新书发布在中国和中克关系发展的重要时刻。今年是中华人民共和国成立70周年和中克建交27周年。今年4月，李克强总理访克并出席第八次中国-中东欧国家领导人会晤，推动中克关系进入“钻石”发展期。《习近平讲故事》克文版此时在克出版发行可谓恰逢其时，在这个具有重要意义的历史性年份，向中克关系献上了一份宝贵的礼物。通过这本书，克罗地亚朋友可以更好地读懂中国领导人的人民情怀和天下担当，读懂中国的过去和现在，了解中国特色社会主义制度和道路。我们也期待通过推介此书，进一步推动中克两国加深相互了解、增进相互之间的友谊，促进共同发展，更多地造福两国人民和世界人民。
Today’s event takes place at a very significant time for both China and China and Croatia bilateral relationship. This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and 27th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Croatia. In April, Premier Li Keqiang visited Croatia and attended the 8th Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries, which upgraded our bilateral relationship into “Diamond” development stage. In this year of historic significance, the publication and distribution of Croatian version of Xi Jinping Tells Stories is at the right time, and offers a precious present to our bilateral relationship. Through this book, people from Croatia can spell over the leader of China’s great feeling for the people and responsibility for the world, and perceive China’s past and present. By recommending this book, we look forward to further promoting mutual study, mutual understanding and joint development between our two countries, and bringing more benefits to people of our two countries and people of the whole world.
