Affrication

塞擦音

A term used in the classification of consonant sounds on the basis of their manner of articulation: it refers to a sound made when the air-pressure behind a complete closure in the vocal tract is gradually released; the initial release produces a plosive, but the separation which follows is sufficiently slow to produce audible friction, and there is thus a fricative element in the sound also. However, the duration of the friction is usually not as long as would be the case of an independent fricative sound. If it is very brief indeed, the term affrication is used.

按发音方式给辅音分类的术语，指声道完全闭塞处后面的气压逐渐除阻释放时发出的音；初始的除阻产生一个破裂音，但随后的分离慢得足以产生听得见的摩擦声，于是这个音也有了擦音成分。但是摩擦的音延通常不像单独的擦音那么长。如果摩擦音延确实十分短，就用“塞擦”这个术语。
