Open Vowel
开元音
A term used in the four-level phonetic classification of vertical tongue movement in vowel sounds based on the cardinal vowel system, the others being close, “half-close” and “half-open”. It refers to a vowel made with the tongue in the lowest possible position.
语音学按基本元音系统根据舌垂直方向的移动对元音作四度分类,即“开”“半开”和“闭”。发开元音时舌置于尽可能低的位置,即口尽量张开。
