Particle Phonology

粒子音系学

An approach to phonology which focuses on the analysis of the internal structure of phonological segments. For example, in the analysis of vowels, three privative features (particles) are recognized–[a] representing openness, [i] representing frontness, and [u] representing rounding –and segments are seen to be composed of one or more particles. An [e] vowel, for example, would be analysed as a combination of [i]+[a].

音系学的一种理论，集中分析音系音段的内部结构。例如，分析元音时，分出三个缺值特征（粒子（particle））：【a】代表开，【i】代表前，【u】代表圆唇；音段被视作由一个或多个粒子组成。例如元音【e】分析为【i】+【a】的组合。
