Problem Play

问题剧

Problem Play is a type of drama that was popularized by the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. In problem plays, the situation faced by the protagonist is put forward by the author as a representative instance of a contemporary social problem; often the dramatist manages – by the use of a character who speaks for the author, or by the evolution of the plot, or both – to propose a solution to the problem which is at odds with prevailing opinion.

问题剧是经挪威剧作家亨里克·易卜生之手而深受欢迎的戏剧类型。在问题剧里，作者将主人公面临的处境展示为代表当时社会问题的缩影；剧作家往往通过剧中代表作者发言的人物，或情节的展开，或两者兼用，提出一种与盛行的舆论相悖的解决问题的方法。
