②可接用不定式。

【例】Our manufacturers have promised to deliver the goods within a fortnight.

③可接用从句。

【例】The mills have promised that they will get the goods ready for shipment within one month.

工厂已答应在一个月内将货物备好待运。

 

④用过去分词作定语。

【例】Will you explain why the goods promised for January have not yet been delivered？

你方答应在1月份交的货物，为何到现在还未交货？请说明原因。

 

【3】有前途

 

【例】Your business promises very well.
