【2】vt报告

①【例】We believe that once this dye is put to trial by your endusers, satisfactory results will certainly be reported.

我们相信这种染料一经你方用户试用，定能得到满意的反映。

②表示“向谁报告何事”时，句式为：report sth to sb。

【例】We shall go back and report our findings to the general manager.

我们回去要将调查结果向总经理汇报。

③可用不定式作宾语的（或被动语态句中主语的）补语。

【例】Groundnuts from the United States are reported to have recently been sold at US$400 per MT.

据报告，美国花生最近按每公吨400美元售出。

④接用that从句。

【例】Our agents in Egypt reported (to us) that the prices of TV sets would be further reduced there.

我方埃及代理人（向我们）报告，那里电视机的价格将进一步下降。

注意：to us中应有to。

可接用on。

【例】The insurance company sent a representative to inspect and report on the damage caused by the recent fire in our warehouse.

保险公司已派出了一位代表来检查并报告最近我公司仓库火灾所造成的损失。

【3】声称

接用反身代词，加as或to be。句式：represent oneself as [to be]。

【例】We regret to hear that you are representing yourselves as our agent in various business activities in your city.

很遗憾，我们得悉你们在你市各种商业活动中声称自己是我公司代理人。
