【2】in disagreement with与……不同，与……有不同意见

 

【例】We are in total disagreement with you over the franchise contract.

disallow

拒绝接受，拒绝

 

后面只可接用名词。

【例】The manager will disallow an expense if it is too high.

如果费用太高，经理将不准许。

 

disappoint

 

【1】使（人）失望

 

【例】It would disappoint our buyers very much if you could not offer prompt shipment.

若不能提供即期装运，定会使我方买主大失所望。

 

【2】使（计划、希望）挫败

 

【例】We are sorry to disappoint your plans [hopes].

我们使你们的计划[希望]受挫折，很抱歉。
