disagreement

 

【1】差异,不协调

 

①【例】Any disagreement arising out of this Contract or from the breach of it shall be submitted to arbitration.

由于本合同或违反本合同而产生的任何争议应提交仲裁。

 

②后面可接用between。

【例】We can see considerable disagreement between these two estimates of the cost.

我们可以发现这两种成本的估计有很大差异。

 

【2】in disagreement with与……不同,与……有不同意见

 

【例】We are in total disagreement with you over the franchise contract.

关于特许专营合同,我们与你们的意见完全不同。

 

disallow

拒绝接受,拒绝

 

后面只可接用名词。

【例】The manager will disallow an expense if it is too high.

如果费用太高,经理将不准许。

 

disappoint

 

【1】使(人)失望

 

【例】It would disappoint our buyers very much if you could not offer prompt shipment.

若不能提供即期装运,定会使我方买主大失所望。

 

【2】使(计划、希望)挫败

 

【例】We are sorry to disappoint your plans [hopes].

我们使你们的计划[希望]受挫折,很抱歉。
