【例】If we do not hear from you by September 30, we shall be compelled to take action to force collection.

如9月3日前得不到回信,我们就不得不采取行动强制收款。

 

【2】be forced to不得不

 

【例】Owing to the increase in the production cost, we are forced to issue a new price list instead of the old.

②用作定语。

【例】We think it necessary that a Force Majeure Clause be included in the contract.

根据前述销售确认书的规定,应在5月或6月装船。

代表集体事物时,不用复数形式。意义上指几件事或物时,可用表示复数的动词。

【例】All the foregoing applies to business already closed.

以上所述全部适用于已成交的交易。
