【1】不耐烦的，忍受不住的

 

①句式：be impatient with sb。

【例】They are too impatient with hypercritical customers.

他们对爱挑剔的顾客太不耐烦了。

 

②句式：be impatient of sth [doing sth]。

【例】We are impatient of waiting for their reply.

我们等他们的答复，等得不耐烦了。

①句式：be impatient for sth。

【例】The client is impatient for an offer for 30 tons of chemical fertilizer.

客户急于要30吨化肥的报盘。

 

②句式：be impatient to do sth。

【例】The client is impatient to get an offer for 30 tons of chemical fertilizer.

客户急于获得30吨化肥的报盘。

 

imperative

绝对必要的，急迫的

 

①多用作句中表语。

【例】As this parcel of 50 MT of hen egg yolk is under offer elsewhere, your immediate decision is imperative.

这笔50公吨蛋黄粉已向别处报价，你方必须迅速决定[欲购从速]。

 

②句式：It is [was] imperative + that从句，从句要用should或虚拟语气现在时。

【例】It is imperative that you (should ) inform us by e-mail immediately of the earliest possible shipment for our consideration.

你方必须立即用电子邮件告知最早的装船期，以便我方考虑。

 

③句式：It is [was] imperative for sb to do sth。

【例】As there is no direct steamer from our port to your port, it is imperative for you to delete the clause “by direct steamer” from you L/C.
