【例】We wish to express our appreciation of your valuable and concrete opinions on our sample mailed to you in May.

承蒙对5月份邮寄给你方的样品提出了具体而宝贵的意见，我们十分感谢。

 

【2】评价

 

常用单数形式，后接of sb [sth]。

【例】We should like to know what opinion you have of the firm mentioned.

我们想知道你们对该公司的评价如何。

 

【3】be of (the) opinion认为

 

接用同位语从句。

【例】We are of the opinion that if the result of packing in cartons turns out to the satisfaction of our clients, you may continue using this packing in future.

我们的意见是，如果纸板箱包装的效果使我方顾客满意，则将来你方可继续使用这种包装。

 

opportune

（时间）恰好的，合乎时宜的

 

【例】We can revert to the matter at the opportune moment.

适当的时候我们可重议此事。

 

opportunity

机会

 

①【例】China’s entry into the WTO will bring more opportunities for everyone.

中国加入WTO将给每个人都带来更多的好机遇。

 

②opportunity可加、也可不加冠词。

【例】The purpose of my present trip is to seek (an, the) opportunity to do business with you.

本人此次旅行的目的是要寻找同你方交易的机会。

 

③opportunity可与许多动词搭配，表示相同或类似的意思。

【例】It would give us a great pleasure to render you a similar service should an opportunity occur.

若有机会，我们也乐意向贵方提供类似的服务。

 

④ by… opportunity用作状语。

【例】Please let us have your fax reply by the earliest opportunity.

请尽速传真回复。

 

⑤可接用不定式和of或for加动名词。

【例】We take this opportunity to express our wish to enter into business relations with you.
