尊敬的伯阿凯前副总统，
尊敬的钱伯斯议长、各部部长、副部长和国会议员，

女士们，先生们，

首先，我谨代表中国驻利比里亚大使馆，并以我夫人和我个人的名义，对各位的到来表示热烈欢迎，衷心感谢大家拨冗出席我的到任招待会。我愿借此机会，转达中国政府和人民对利比里亚政府和人民的亲切问候和良好祝愿。
Firstly, please allow me, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Liberia and in the name of my wife and I myself, to start by extending a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks, to all of you for attending today’s reception. Taking this opportunity, I would like to convey the sincere greetings and best wishes, from the government and people of the People’s Republic of China, to the government and people of the Republic of Liberia.
能够出任中国驻利比里亚大使，我备感荣幸。虽然我和夫人来到蒙罗维亚的时间不长，但利比里亚作为非洲第一个共和国的光辉历史，利比里亚人民对和平与发展的热切渴望，新旧政府的和平有序交替，维阿总统提出的扶贫政策，年轻人踊跃参加“维阿清洁城市运动”的活力，副总统泰勒女士对农业及女性发展的鼓励，利比里亚各界朋友和人民的热情友好、开放包容，都给我留下了深刻印象。
It is a great honor for me being appointed as Chinese Ambassador to Liberia. Even though I just arrived in Monrovia a very short time ago, the glorious history of Liberia as the first republic in Africa, the strong desire of Liberian people for peace and prosperity, the peaceful and orderly transition of the government, the pro-poor agenda proposed by President Weah, the vigor of young people taking part in the “Weah for Clean City” campaign, the encouragement to agriculture and gender development by Vice President Taylor, as well as the hospitality, friendship, openness and inclusiveness of Liberian people, have made a deep impression on me. I find that I have fallen in love with Liberia.
利比里亚资源丰富，民众勤劳乐观，国家发展潜力巨大。维阿总统及新政府执政以来，推出面向人民的“扶贫计划”，积极解决教育、医疗、基础设施建设、青年就业等攸关民生的问题。当前虽然还面临不少困难和挑战，但相信在维阿总统的英明领导、民众的辛勤努力和国际社会的有力支持下，利比里亚一定能够早日实现“扶贫计划”设定的宏伟目标，在实现国家可持续自主发展和改善民生方面不断取得新的进步。
Liberia is a country with rich natural resources and hardworking people. It has a huge potential for prosperity and development. Since assuming office, President Weah has proposed the people-centered Pro-Poor Agenda, and been working hard for achieving its great aims, which fully indicates that his government is positively responding to the basic demands of the people, such as road connection, education, health care and youth empowerment and so on. Though currently confronting with some difficulties and challenges, I am confident that, under the capable leadership of President Weah, with the joint efforts of hardworking Liberian people, and the kindly help from the international community, Liberia will surely achieve its great goals, and obtain independent sustainable development at an early time.
到任以来，我拜会了维阿总统，泰勒副总统、舍利夫前总统、伯阿凯前副总统、钱伯斯众议长、部分部长、市长、利各界人士和驻利使团的同事，进一步增进了对利比里亚的认识。我深切地感受到，利比里亚各届朋友和国际社会对中利友好合作关系的积极肯定和扩大中利双边合作的热切期待与支持。这充分说明，中利友好得到两国人民衷心拥护，国际社会的广泛赞同，具有深厚民意和社会基础。
Since my arrival, I have paid courtesy calls to, and had good conversations with Mr. President, Vice President, high level officials of Liberian ministries and parliament, colleagues from diplomatic corps and international organizations, and friends from various walks of life of Liberia. I am deeply impressed and encouraged by their positive affirmations and high expectations on the China-Liberia collaboration.
近年来，中利关系保持良好势头，两国各领域务实合作成果丰硕，已经或即将建成的道路、办公楼、医院、学院、体育场、广播电视台、农业示范中心和机场等，为利比里亚的经济社会发展做出了积极贡献。中国公司对利投资和中利双边人文交流不断增加。这些友好交往和合作既是中利领导人构建全面合作伙伴关系共识的具体体现，也为两国人民带来了实实在在的利益。利比里亚政府、议会多次重申利坚定支持一个中国政策，中方对此表示高度赞赏。
I am glad that the China-Liberia friendship has won wholehearted support of our two peoples and the international community. The China-Liberia cooperation has been maintaining a good momentum in recent years. The concrete projects have been set up and will be completed soon in the fields of road, office building, health care, education, sports, information, agriculture and airport etc., have made and will make more contributions to the development of Liberia. The investment of Chinese companies and people to people exchanges between China and Liberia are increasing. The fruitful results of China-Liberia friendly relations and cooperation, have been bringing tangible benefits to our two countries and peoples. Liberian Government and Parliament reiterated their firm support for the One-China policy, which China highly appreciates.
中利两国虽然相距遥远，国情各异，但同为发展中国家，都面临着发展经济、改善民生的任务。双方在经贸、农业、渔业、基础设施、文教、卫生等领域有着巨大的合作潜力和广阔的合作前景。加强中利关系不仅符合双方的共同利益，也有利于非洲地区的发展和繁荣。
As a Chinese saying goes, “long distance separates no bosom friends”. Although China and Liberia are far from each other geographically and have different history, culture and national condition, we are both developing countries, and facing the same task of further developing our country and improving our people’s livelihood. The bilateral cooperation between us, has a great potential and broad prospects in a wide range of sectors. Strengthening China-Liberia relations is not only in the common interests of both China and Liberia, but also conducive to the development and prosperity of Africa.

Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen,
2018年是中国政府贯彻落实十九大精神开局之年，也是中国改革开放四十周年。中国人民将在习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想指引下，努力为早日实现全面建成小康社会的宏伟目标而奋斗。今天上午，习近平主席在博鳌亚洲论坛年会发表的主旨演讲中，宣布中方愿加快改革开放和包容发展，与世界各国加强合作，为世界的繁荣和发展做出更大贡献。
The year of 2018 marks the beginning year of China’s implementing the spirit of the 19th Congress of Communist Party, and the 40th anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-u p. Guided by President Xi Jinping’s thought on “Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, Chinese government and people are striving to achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. This morning, in his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia, President Xi Jinping announced that China will accelerate its opening-up, inclusive development and cooperation with the international community for bring more benefits to the world.
我们高兴地看到，今年以来，中非合作喜事不断，近来已先后有三位非洲国家总统访华，与中方签署了多项双边互利合作协议。今年9月，中非合作论坛峰会将在北京举行，本届论坛峰会两主席习近平主席和南非总统已向非洲国家领导人发出与会邀请。峰会将秉持真、实、亲、诚的中非外交合作理念，本着共商、共建、共享的“一带一路”合作精神，聚焦如何在“一带一路”倡议下拓展中非在各领域的合作，相信此次峰会将为中国同包括利比里亚在内的非洲国家扩大合作提供新的机遇。中方高度赞赏维阿总统欣然接受两主席邀请出席北京峰会，期待听取维阿总统关于发展利中和非中关系的想法与建议，希望利比里亚全方位参与中非合作论坛和“一带一路”建设，为中利全面合作伙伴关系注入新动力。
You may have noticed that, since the beginning of this year, the high level exchange of visits and collaboration between China and Africa have been expanding. Just in the last two weeks, three African presidents have visited China with fruitful cooperative results. This coming September, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit will take place in Beijing. President Xi Jinping and President of South Africa, the FOCAC co-chair, have jointly extended warm invitation to all the leaders of the forum members to attend the Summit. During the Summit, the leaders of China and Africa countries will uphold the principles of China’s policy toward Africa, namely sincerity, practical results, affinity and good faith and based on the spirit of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits of B&R, to discuss how to expand the collaboration between China and African under the One Belt and One Road initiative. President Xi appreciates that President Weah has accepted the co-chair’s invitation, and looks forward to listening to President Weah’s view and suggestions on further strengthening the cooperation between China and Africa including Liberia. I am confident that the Summit will offer a great opportunity, for Liberia fully participating in China-Africa cooperation under the B&R initiative, and inject new impetus into the comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and Liberia.
各位阁下，女士们、先生们，
Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen,
中利关系业已取得的成就离不开各位的积极努力，中利关系的美好未来也继续需要各位的宝贵支持和帮助。作为中国新任驻利大使，我愿竭尽所能，为深化两国友好合作、增进两国人民友谊而不懈努力。我相信，在各位朋友的大力支持下，我们一定会为中利友好关系谱写新的篇章，更好地造福两国和两国人民。
The China-Liberia friendship are inseparable from your great efforts and contributions. The future of China-Liberia cooperation will still rely on your valuable support and assistance. As China’s new ambassador to Liberia, I would like to make every effort to deepen the collaboration between our two countries and enhance the friendship between our two peoples. I strongly believe that, with your kindly help, we can write a new chapter of China-Liberia friendly relations and cooperation and bring more benefits to the peoples of our two countries at together.

Finally, I'd like to propose a toast,
