欢迎各位出席今晚活动。我们很高兴在这里举办大型人文纪录片《丹行线》（印尼篇）发布仪式暨东盟其他国家摄制启动仪式，拉开“中国—东盟媒体交流年”雅加达渠道庆祝序幕。
Tonight, we are here to launch the China-ASEAN Cultural Documentary DAN’s Way-Indonesia and its filming in other ASEAN countries, and with this, we are kicking off celebrations of the China-ASEAN Year of Media Exchanges at the Jakarta Channel.
去年秋天，我和东盟使节们在南宁观看了《丹行线》片段，深受感染。我为此思考，一部纪录片为何能触动我们内心，引发情感共鸣，展示人文交流的巨大力量。我想可能是源于以下三个要素：
Last Autumn, my CPR colleagues and I had the opportunity to watch some parts of this documentary in Nanning during our visit to China. Instantly we were captivated, not only because of the inviting scenery it portrays of Indonesia, but there is something more, something that distincts itself from any other travel documentary, something that goes deeper and connects people across different languages, cultures, religious beliefs and borders. For me, the strength of this documentary lies in the following three features:
首先是“沉下去”，接触草根。人文交流的根基在于普罗大众，“接地气”的故事往往更具感染力。《丹行线》展现给我们的是最真实的生活，受访者来自印尼普通民众，有的还有身体残疾。他们无一例外都在为自己的梦想努力奋斗，甚至要克服常人难以想像的困难与挑战，但他们慨当以慷，微笑面对。这种生命不息、奋斗不止、积极向上的坚强与自信，充满正能量，催人奋进。
First, it is about stories of ordinary people at the grassroots. Each of the ten episodes of the Indonesia chapter features one character. Most of them don’t have prominent background, far from it in some cases. Yet their courage, tenacity, perseverance and love of life make them truly inspirational heroes in their own families and our world. They are the cornerstones of our society and to whom our relationship should serve and deliver.
其次是“融进去”，倾听心声。人文交流的魅力在于心灵交融，从而相互欣赏，发现和挖掘出朴素和真实的美。《丹行线》中，中国著名主持人朱丹像普通人一样行走在印尼的乡间村里，深入当地百姓，与受访者就像邻里一样促膝而谈，以“我们”而非“你”“我”“他”的视角来讲述他们的故事。这是一种尊重与理解、包容与欣赏的视角与心态，是一次倾诉与倾听的心灵沟通，因此能跨越地域、民族、文化，融通民心，产生共鸣。这也应该是我们这个充满文明多样性的世界中，国与国交往所应秉持的相处之道。
Second, the stories are told among “us”, rather than “you” versus “me”. The charm of people-to-people exchanges is in the connecting of hearts, which leads to mutual appreciation and admiration. The narrator, Ms. Zhu Dan, who is a famous TV host in China, walks into communities and villages in Indonesia and sits down with locals like next-door neighbor. With more listening and “us” talks, it highlights a perspective of respect, understanding, accommodation and appreciation, which should be the way we perceive and interact with each other and foster mutual understanding in a world of great diversity.
再次是“扬起来”，传播善美。人文交流的价值在于传递和弘扬共同的美，真正的美是不分国界、不分阶层，能够感化众生的。《丹行线》让我们看到印尼民众身上的朴实无华和人性光辉，感受到爱的温度和世界的美好。这些既是中国和东盟国家共同的传统价值观，也是亚洲文化和价值观的体现,值得我们赞美和发扬光大。
Third, it reveals how much we share in common and what we can achieve in cross-cultural communication. Despite different cultural backgrounds, what relates and connects us as audience is the common resonance at the adorned humanity of the Indonesian people. Love of nature, defiance of difficulties and devotion to your family, community and society, etc. They are not only shared values of China and ASEAN, but common assets treasured by the world over. Through people-to-people exchanges, we share with each other the best of our respective culture, traditions and values that transcend time and space, nation or class. These are the good assets that can spread far and wide and continue to inspire and influence more.
如果要用一个关键词来归纳上述三个要素，那就是今天活动的主题：相知相交，民心相通。
If I may capture the above three features in one word, the best word I can think of is “CONNECTING”, as the theme of today’s event denotes.
目前，每年中国和东盟国家人员往来已经达到5000万人次。这5000万人如何开展交流，如何彼此看待与相处，将对中国—东盟关系影响广泛而深远。从这点上，《丹行线》这部纪录片提供了有益启示。
With 50 million visits made between China and ASEAN annually, China-ASEAN relationship is moving to a new stage. How shall we perceive, interact and treat each other, or better connect with each other, will have a direct impact on the overall relationship and the region as a whole. This documentary in some way offers inspiration and useful reference.
女士们，先生们，
Ladies and gentlemen,
在去年举行的第21次中国—东盟领导人会议上，双方领导人一致同意将今年确定为“中国—东盟媒体交流年”。媒体在中国—东盟人文交流中发挥着不可或缺的关键作用，有责任、也有能力发挥融通民心、搭建桥梁的作用。我们期待《丹行线》尽早延伸至东盟其他国家，走进东盟广大民众。我们也期待与各方共同努力，以中国—东盟媒体交流年为契机，用读者和观众听得懂的语言、听得进的方式，传播能够引起共鸣的故事，促进中国—东盟民心相通，推动构建更为紧密的中国—东盟命运共同体。
At the 21st China-ASEAN summit held in Singapore last November, leaders agreed to designate this year as the China-ASEAN Year of Media Exchanges. Media has both the power and responsibility to connect people and build bridges for understanding and appreciation, and so does all of us, who are direct participants and beneficiaries of such people-to-people exchanges. I hope the documentary Dan’s Way will continue their adventure in other 9 ASEAN countries and bring about more wonderful stories of the ASEAN people. I also hope that this year of China-ASEAN media exchanges will offer best opportunities for us to share our stories and experiences, increase mutual understanding and deepen trust as we are building a closer community of a shared future.
在庆祝中国—东盟媒体交流年之际，我衷心希望2019年成为中国和东盟之间相知相交、民心相通的新起点，为当今充满不确定性的世界擎起一把火炬。
At the outset of the China-ASEAN Year of Media Exchanges, I sincerely hope that this will become a new starting point for us to better connect China and ASEAN, the region and beyond, and provide renewed confidence and a beacon of stability at a time fraught with uncertainties.
