A: We are interested in placing a large order for your wool carpet.
A:我们对贵方的羊毛毯很感兴趣,想下一份大订单。
B: How much would you like?
B:你们想订多少?
A: 10,000 square meters. You should give us a discount for such a large quantity.
A:1万平方米。这么大的单子,贵方应该给我们打个折扣。
B: A higher discount will be given for a big order, so we are willing to give you a 5% discount this time.
B:我们对待大订单向来都有高额折扣,所以这次愿意给您5%的折扣。
A: The Iranians will give us a 10% discount if such a high order is placed with them. No doubt you know an incentive discount encourages the buyers and helps expand seller’s business.
A:可如果我们向伊朗人下这样一份大订单的话,他们愿意给10%的折扣。您知道,一项激励性的折扣无疑会鼓励买主并有助销售。
B: Of course, I know. But theirs is too high a rate. Frankly speaking, the maximum discount we can make is 6%.
B:我当然知道。但是他们的比率太高了。说实话,我们能提供的最大折扣就是6%了。
