arrange
【1】安排;筹备
①【例】We do not wish to file claim against you but would arrange an amicable settlement.
我们不希望提出索赔,愿友好解决问题。
②可接用动词不定式。
【例】We will then arrange to meet him at the airport and drive him to his hotel.
到那时我们会安排到飞机场接他,用汽车将他送到旅馆。
③接用动词不定式复合结构,即for sb [sth] to do [to be done]。
【例】It would be advisable to arrange for representatives of both parties to hold a preliminary talk.
先安排双方代表举行预备性会谈是可取的。
④可接用that从句,从句中多用should或虚拟语气现在时,有时也用陈述语气。
【例】Both parties arranged that the accessories (should) be manufactured by the buyers themselves.

【2】安排;筹备
①常接用for + n(表示动作的名词)(与 arrange for sb to do不同)。
【例】We should be obliged if you would arrange for immediate shipment of this order.
如蒙安排这笔订货为即期装运,则非常感激。
②arrange和arrange for二者都可接用名词。如果所安排的是事情和行动,则二者都可以用。
【例】We must ask you to arrange [arrange for] the dispatch of replacements at once.
务请你方立即发运替换的货物。
如果所安排的不是事情而是物品,则必须用arrange for。
【例】We have arranged for a truck (to take delivery of the goods).
我们已安排好一辆卡车(去提货)了。
