①后接用for引起支票的金额。

【例】We are in receipt of your cheque for US $500, for which we thank you.

②cheque前面的不定冠词a可省去。

【例】Enclosed we hand you (a) cheque for US $500, for which please kindly send receipt.

随函寄去面额500美元的支票，请查收并寄来收据。

其中cheque用作不可数名词，不得加用冠词。

【例】Some people buy things and pay by cheque.
