【例】This places us in a difficult position.

【例】The goods have been placed on board s.s. “Red Star”.

①可接用with sb。

【例】If your quotations are suitable, we shall be able to place orders with you.

如果你方报价合适，我们将向你方订货。

 

②过去分词短语用作后置定语。

【例】If your orders placed with us from now till the end of this year reach a total amount of US $ 100 000, you are entitled to a bonus of 5 percent of the said amount.

如果从现在到年底你方向我们订货的总金额达到10万美元，则有权享有总金额5%的奖励。

 

【7】达成（交易）

 

【例】It is usual for us (a regular buyer of yours) to place business during the Guangzhou Fair.

①后面常接用for或of。

【例】We may put heads together to map out a plan for the sale of these products.

我们可以碰碰头，共同商议出推销这些产品的计划。

 

②后面接用动词不定式。

【例】We made our plan to carry on an advertising campaign.

我们拟出了开展广告宣传活动的计划。

 

【2】计划，筹划

 

①【例】We’ve been planning the advertising campaign for months.

几个月来我们一直在策划这项广告运动。

 

②接用不定式句式：plan to do sth。

【例】We are planning to set up a joint venture in Malaysia.

我们计划在马来西亚组建一合资企业。

 

③可使用动名词。

【例】Planning the bank’s investment is very important for us.

计划银行的投资对于我们很重要。

 

④过去分词用作定语。

【例】We would like to absorb and make use of foreign capital [funds] in a planned way.

我们想有计划地吸收和利用外国资金。

②常接用介词for或on。
