①多用作表语，且可用much，very much，more than等作状语。若用very作状语，BrE认为可接受，而AmE则认为不够好。

【例】We shall be only too pleased [glad, happy] to make you offers.

②可接用不定式。

【例】We shall be pleased to establish business relations with your corporation.

我们乐意同贵公司建立业务关系。

 

③可接用从句。

【例】We are much pleased that you have decided to place orders regularly with us.

④可接用with sth。

【例】We hope you will be pleased with the goods delivered, and look forward to further orders from you.
