驻丹麦大使邓英在“中国电影节”开幕式上的讲话

Speech by H.E. Deng Ying on the Opening of “Chinese Film Festival”

尊敬的帕奈力女士，

尊敬的贝森巴赫主席，

尊敬的各位使节，

女士们、先生们：

大家晚上好。非常高兴参加今天的“中国电影节”开幕式。首先，我谨代表中国驻丹麦使馆对各位的到来表示热烈欢迎。对丹麦电影协会、中国国家电影局为此次活动所做的大量工作表示感谢。

Good evening! I am very glad to attend the opening ceremony of the “Chinese Film Festival”. First, on behalf of Chinese Embassy in Denmark, I’d like to extend my warmest welcome to you all, and to convey my appreciation to the Danish Film Institute and the Film Bureau of China for their great efforts making this event possible.

 

今年是中丹建立全面战略伙伴关系十周年。此次“中国电影节”是庆祝“十周年”的重要活动之一。电影是展示一国文化的窗口，也是增进各国人民相互了解的重要途径。此次电影节除在哥本哈根、奥胡斯等城市举办外，还将走进格陵兰，是中丹建交以来规模最大、时间跨度最长的电影交流活动。

This year marks the 10th anniversary of China-Denmark comprehensive strategic partnership. This film festival is one of the important events celebrating the 10th anniversary. This year the festival will be held in Aarhus and Greenland besides Copenhagen. It is the most influential bilateral film exchange in terms of length and scale since the establishment of China-Denmark diplomatic ties. Films serve as a window and a bridge to enhance understanding among people from different cultures.

 

此次电影节上映的6部影片由双方精心挑选，我认为有以下三个特点：一是内容丰富，剧情涵盖历史、文化、宗教、战争、自然等多个方面。二是类型多样，既有“大制作”的动作片，也有耐人寻味的剧情片，既有活泼的音乐剧，也有科幻悬疑片，非常具有代表性。三是体现了中国电影业的国际化。其中三部影片分别由中方同丹麦、芬兰、印度等国家合作拍摄，特别是中丹合拍的《烽火芳菲》，由丹麦著名导演奥古斯特执导，曾作为2017年上海国际电影节开幕影片。希望各位朋友能借此机会，先睹为快。

The 6 films to be screened during the festival are jointly selected by both sides, which have the following three features: First, they vary in contents, with themes ranging from history, culture, religion to warfare and nature. Secondly, they are presented in diversified genres, including high-cost action film, intriguing feature film, lively musical and science fiction film etc. Thirdly, they embody the internationalization of Chinese film industry. Three films to be screened are co-produced by China and other countries including Denmark, Finland and India. Among them, Chinese Widow, co-produced by China and Denmark, is directed by Danish prestigious director Bille August. It was screened as the opening film of Beijing International Film Festival in 2017. Audience in Denmark now has the chance to see the film during the festival.

 

接下来，我们要欣赏的首场电影是《玄奘》，讲述了中国唐朝的玄奘法师历经艰难西行印度求取佛经的故事。玄奘被誉为中外文化交流的使者，他留给后人的物质和精神传承也是全世界的宝贵财富。

Today, we will see the opening film of Xuanzang. This film followed the trek of Monk Xuanzang of Tang Dynasty who trudged all the way from China to India in pursuit of Buddhism Sutras. Xuanzang was known as the envoy of cultural exchanges, leaving precious material and spiritual treasures to the whole world.
