今年是赞比亚独立55周年，也是中赞建交55周年。自1964年10月以来，中赞始终保持高水平友好关系。作为中国在非洲特别是南部非洲地区的好朋友、好兄弟，中国政府和人民对赞一直怀有特殊友好感情。
This year marks the 55th anniversary of Zambia’s independence and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Zambia. Since October 1964, China and Zambia have maintained high-level friendly relations. As a good friend and brother in Africa, especially in southern Africa, the Chinese government and the Chinese people have always cherished special and friendly feelings towards Zambia.
进入新世纪后，在中非合作论坛框架下，中赞全方位、宽领域、高水平的合作走在中非合作前列，在基础设施、通讯、能源、农业、加工制造等领域开展了富有成果的务实合作，给双方人民带来了实实在在的利益。赞方是中方推进“一带一路”建设、构建更加紧密中非命运共同体的重要合作伙伴。
Since the beginning of the new century, under the framework of the Forum of China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), China and Zambia have conducted all-round, wide-area and high-level cooperation which lies at the forefront of China and Africa partnership. The practical cooperation with fruitful achievements in areas such as infrastructure, ICT, energy, agriculture, processing and manufacturing has brought tangible benefits to our two peoples. Zambia is an important partner of China in promoting the Belt and Road Initiative and building an even stronger China-Africa community with a shared future.
2018年，中赞双边贸易额首次突破50亿美元大关，同比增长33.9%，其中赞比亚顺差超过30亿美元。中国对赞直接投资持续增长，新增3.27亿美元，稳居非洲国家第二位。中国有色东南矿体、赞比亚江西多功能经济区、中材建设水泥厂、卡夫拉夫塔供水项目、“万村通”、“智慧赞比亚”、姆瓦纳瓦萨医院等一大批务实合作重点项目取得了积极进展，为赞加快工业化发展进程，落实第七个国家发展规划提供了强有力的支撑。
In 2018, the volume of China-Zambia bilateral trade has reached 5 billion US dollars for the first time with a year-on-year growth of 33.9%. Zambia has a surplus of more than 3 billion US dollars. China’s direct investment in Zambia maintained a constant growth with an increase of 327 million US dollars, once again ranking second among African countries. A number of key projects including CMCC South-East Ore Body, Zambia-Jiangxi Multi Facility Economic Zone, Kafulafuta Dam and Water Supply, Village Satellite TV, Smart Zambia and Levy Mwanawasa Hospital have been making remarkable progress, which provide strong support for Zambia to accelerate its industrialization process and the implementation of 7NDP.
作为中国驻赞比亚大使，我深感赞比亚具有巨大的发展潜力，国家长期稳定，经济较快增长，社会充满活力，民生持续改善。我在为赞比亚进步和中赞关系发展点赞的同时，更觉两国经贸务实合作前景十分广阔，互利合作之路将越走越宽。
As the Chinese ambassador to Zambia, I deeply feel that Zambia has great development potential. The country has a tradition of stability, the economy is growing fast, the society is full of vitality, and people’s livelihood continues to improve. While praising Zambia for its progress and the development of China-Zambia relations, I even feel that there are bright prospects for our economic and trade cooperation and the path of mutually beneficial cooperation has become broader thorough fare to success.
中国经济的良好发展为中赞经贸合作注入强劲动力。中国经济已由高速增长阶段转向高质量发展阶段。2018年中国国内生产总值（GDP）增长6.6%，突破13.6万亿美元，稳居世界第二。货物进出口同比增长9.7%，贸易额超过4.5万亿美元，稳居全球榜首。中国对世界经济增长贡献率连续多年接近30%，是世界经济增长的最大贡献者。
The sound development of China’s economy injects strong impetus into China-Zambia economic and trade cooperation. China’s economy has been transitioning from a phase of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development. As the world’s second-largest economy, China’s GDP topped 13.6 trillion US dollars in 2018, with a 6.6 percent growth rate. China remains the world’s biggest trader in goods, achieving a 9.7 percent increase in 2018 and more than 4.5 trillion US dollars in total value. As the biggest engine for many years, China has contributed nearly 30 percent to global economic growth.
中国国家主席习近平多次在重大场合强调，中国开放的大门不会关闭，只会越开越大。国务院总理李克强在今年“两会”政府工作报告中提出，中国将积极扩大进口，下调进口关税，以更大力度的市场开放，促进国内产业升级和贸易平衡发展。分析预计，未来15年，中国进口的商品和服务将分别超过30万亿美元和10万亿美元，这将为中赞企业带来新的合作机遇。我还愿指出，中方不追求对中赞贸易均衡，愿通过双边贸易更有力地支持赞经济社会发展和人民生活改善。例如，去年两国签署了赞蜂蜜输华有关协议，只要是赞方优质商品，中方未来都愿意进口。
H. E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, has repeatedly stressed on different occasions that China’s door of opening-up will not be closed and will only open even wider. During this year’s “Two Sessions” of China, The Report on the Work of the Chinese Government delivered by Premier Li Keqiang pointed out that China will actively expand imports, cut import tariffs, and further open up the market to promote the balanced growth of foreign trade and accelerate industrial upgrading in China. According to analysis, in the coming 15 years, China’s import of goods and services are expected to exceed 30 trillion US dollars and 10 trillion US dollars respectively. These will bring new opportunities for cooperation between Chinese and Zambian enterprises. I would also like to add that China does not pursue a trade balance with Zambia, but stands ready to better support Zambia’s economic and social development and people’s livelihood through bilateral trade. For example, last year China and Zambia signed an agreement on the import of Zambian honey to China. As long as it is Zambia’s quality goods, China is willing to buy.
2018年，赞比亚国内生产总值（GDP）增长4.0%，通货膨胀率（CPI）维持在6—8%，本币克瓦查汇率基本稳定，营商环境和综合治理水平继续在撒哈拉以南非洲位居前列。赞比亚正努力向中等收入国家迈进，国家增就业、减贫困、促民生的发展诉求，与中国经济高质量发展阶段所激发的巨大投资与消费需求相互契合，中赞经贸合作前景广阔。
In 2018, Zambia’s GDP increased by 4.0 percent, the CPI remained at 6 to 8 percent, the Kwacha currency maintained basically stable. The business environment and comprehensive governance level continue to be at the forefront in the sub-Saharan Africa. Zambia is striving to move toward a middle-income country. Its appeals of job creation, poverty reduction and people’s livelihoods improvement are in line with the huge investment and consumer demand stimulated by the high-quality development of China’s economy. China-Zambia’s economic and trade cooperation enjoys broad prospects.
