【1】场合，时刻

常组成on… occasion(s)作状语。

【2】时机

①【例】We will be glad to reciprocate if an occasion arises.

若有时机，我们愿报答你方好意。

②句式：take occasion to do sth。

【例】We take [have] occasion to inform you that we have now available the following goods: …

我们借此机会告知贵方，我们现在可供下列货物：……

③ take occasion to中，occasion前可加用the，this或that。句式：take (the, this, that)occasion to do sth。
