【1】报盘，报价

 

①【例】This offer will remain effective [valid, firm, open] for another 10 days from 15th May.

本报盘有效期自5月15日起延续10天。

 

②可与offer搭配使用的动词很多。

【例】Please make us an offer, giving your price CIF Lagos.

请做出报盘，报CIF拉各斯价。

 

③说明对什么商品的报盘，可用for，on或of引出商品名称。

【例】The buyers are anxious to get an offer for walnuts.

买主急于要核桃的报盘。

 

④若提到已对某商品做出的报盘，可用of。

【例】We are working on your offer of 2 000 kilos black tea.

我们正在对你方2 000千克红茶的报盘进行工作。

 

【2】报盘

 

①【例】We offer you firm 50 long tons of tin foil sheets at £135 per long ton CIF Shanghai for delivery in June.

我们向你方报出50长吨锡箔实盘CIF上海价每长吨135英镑，6月份交货。

 

②用过去分词引出的短语作后置定语。

【例】The goods offered by us are available [suppliable] for prompt delivery [from stock].

我方所报的货物可即期交货[有现货]。

 

【3】给予，提供

 

①【例】For quantities of 1 gross and over, we can offer [give, grant] a discount of 15% on list prices.

数量在一罗以上时，我们可按目录价格给予15%的折扣。

 

②可接用双宾语。

【例】They offered us the agency in this market for their precision machine tools.

他们向我们提供了他们精密机床在此地市场上的代理权。

 

【4】报盘

 

【例】If you can offer, please fax us.

如能报盘，请给我方发来传真。

 

【5】发生，出现

 

【例】We shall revert to this matter when opportunity offers [appears, presents].

当有机会时，我们将重议此事。
