【1】到达；来到

①【例】We shall make arrangements to ship the goods as soon as your L/C arrives.

一俟你方信用证到达后我们就准备装船。

②现在分词用作（不定式）宾语的补语。

【例】It is imperative for you to establish a letter of credit arriving here before May 15.

你方必须在5月15日前将信用证开到我处。

③说到达某地，一般在大的城市或地方前用in，小的城镇或地方前用at，在port或destination前也习惯用at。

【例】The trade delegation arrived in Beijing on Monday.

贸易代表团已于星期一到达北京。

④后面常加用形容词形成双重谓语。

【例】The shipment has arrived safe.

这批货已安全到达。

【2】arrive at 达成（决议、谅解）；得出（结论）；谈妥（交易）

①【例】We are afraid the chance of business will be lost if you fail to arrive at a decision before the expiry of our offer.

如果你方不在我方报盘过期前做出决定，恐怕就会丧失这笔交易的良机。

②使用其动名词。

【例】We request you send us a part of the sample that you used arriving at (the conclusion of) your analysis.

请将你们用以得出分析（结论）的样品寄来一部分。

【3】to arrive 将达到

【例】Shipment: To arrive.

交货期：货物将到达。
